How hot water extraction works
Hot water extraction is the method most carpet manufacturers recommend. A cleaning solution and hot water are injected deep into the pile, loosening the dirt, dust and residue that a vacuum can’t reach. The same machine then extracts the water with powerful suction, taking the dirt with it.
Drying time depends on the carpet, the room’s ventilation and the weather. Opening windows or running heating helps, and it’s best to keep heavy furniture off and avoid walking on the carpet until it’s dry.
Before we start, we check each fabric for colourfastness and pre-treat visible marks. Some stains, such as old dye or bleach marks, can’t be fully removed by any method, and we’ll tell you honestly before we begin.
